CMPD stands for "Chama cha Madereva na Wamiliki wa Pikipiki Mkoa wa Dar
es Salaam" in Swahili. This association was established on September 15, 2016, under the
laws of the United Republic of Tanzania (The Societies Act. CAP 337 R.E. 2022) through
the Ministry of Home Affairs. Its main purpose is .
- to enhance road safety and protect the interests of motorcycle owners and riders in the Dar es Salaam Region.
- It also aims to analyze the challenges faced by motorcycle drivers in the Dar es Salaam Region and seek solutions for them.
- Introduce motorcycle riders and owner to different financial opportunity
- Help in community affairs such as Damu salama

Meet Daudi Laurian
CMPD Secretary since 2016
Daudi Laurian has been the driving force behind CMPD (Chama cha Madereva Bodaboda na Bajaji Dar es Salaam) since 2016. With a deep understanding of the challenges faced by drivers in Dar es Salaam, he has worked tirelessly to improve their working conditions, advocate for their rights, and ensure that their voices are heard at every level of government and industry.
Under his leadership, CMPD has grown in membership and influence, playing a crucial role in shaping transportation policies and supporting the livelihoods of bodaboda and bajaji drivers across the city. Daudi's commitment to the community is evident in his continuous efforts to foster unity, provide education, and ensure the safety and well-being of all members.
